BOSS is a program that I advertised on INFO-VAX a few months ago. It lets you to run several subprocesses simultaneously and to switch easily between these processes. If you ever need to do two or more things at once with VMS (e.g., read your mail while an interactive FORTRAN program is running), this is the program for you. Version 1.3 adds the ability to control what BOSS does with the output of a non-current process. The choices are: * buffer the output and display when the process become current * discard the output, allowing the process to continue running * display it immediately (mixing the output with that of the current process) * stop the output, the process hangs when it tries to do output If you want this version of BOSS, let me know and I'll mail it to you. BOSS requires the PTY pseudo-TTY driver. If you need this I can mail you that too.
