We have recently upgraded (together !) PSI from 4.0 to 4.1 and VMS from
4.6 to 4.7 ( this includes some XWDRIVER changes). Since then we have
been having continuous problems with our X.25 connection. The symptoms
are quite simple:
- while otherwise successfully exchanging data, the VAX will suddendly
stop talking and will ignore any recovery effort by the DCE
( as viewed on a datascope)
- any tasks using X.25 or even attempting to look at the status of the
link ( NCP SH X25-PROTO KNO DTE) will hang and goto into RWAST if ^Y
is attempted
- occasionaly, the whole system may hang itself after some time
- only a reboot can clear all these problems.
Has anyone encountered these problems? Any suggestions at what could be
looked at to determine which VMS or PSI component is failing?
