Here is something that someone can help me with. We are planning to implement an AppleTalk network with the software from Pacer to implement DECnet services on the Mac (including VT240 emulation). To do this we want to use a Kinetics box and an Ethernet repeater, since the VAXcluster is in another building. Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences in doing this? What about DEC LANserver 100? Any other products to do the same thing? What is the cost (actual and personnel resource-wise)? I would be happy to hear any comments, suggestions, etc. Also, would it be more feasible to use a Hayes Interbridge to get the AppleTalk to the VAX and then use the Kinetics box to provide a direct connection?
