It operates via AppleTalk for VMS, follows the standard Mac user interface, and of course requires a hardware gateway box (such as a FastPath) between the Mac LocalTalk LAN and the Vax. The intent is to let Mac users and Vax users exchange mail with each other on a local basis, as well as with others via bitnet, arpanet, etc. We hope to have a demo version running for the July Apple University Consortium meeting. We also plan on distributing this software at least to AUC schools and other similar sites on a very low cost basis. More details will be announced in the near future.
