Subject: Dual-ported disk drives
We are looking to purchase some new drives for our uVaxen in a LAVC and
were wondering about the advantages or disadvantages of having them be
dual-ported. Would this allow us to hook them to both of the boot nodes
and to "on the fly" configure them to be on either machine? I know this
sounds academic in a cluster, but what we want is to be able to keep the
cluster flying even if one machine must be down for servicing or what have
you. Any help from people with experience in this or related areas would
be GREATLY appreciated.
