Yes.  The algorithm to do so is not that difficult to implement,
especially as compared to the newer group 4 format.  Remember that
it must be a black & white (1 bit/pixel) image.

	Could you elaborate on that?  What is the algorithm to take a
	digitized B&W image and convert it to CCITT Group III Facsimile
	format?  What hardware is needed?  A code example would be 
	great...
