Hey folks, it seems to me that I might have noticed a little traffic on this topic, but until last night, I paid no attention. A friend has been doing standalone image BACKUP/RESTORE operations on his uVAX 2000 to clean up the disk file structure. A reasonable, DEC-supported way to go, right? Hitch: every time he does a RESTORE, he gets a VERIFY error on block 1 of the QUOTA.SYS file. If I were to guess, I'd say it seems reasonable that the restore operation might affect INDEXF.SYS; after all, the physical file layout will be different. But QUOTA.SYS? Has anyone else seen this problem? Does anyone know WHY it occurs, and whether it's worth worrying about? /kenw
