Well, VAX SCA (Source Code Analyzer) provides a variety of lint-like features, both interactively (with LSE) and as a command-line package. The nicest feature of LSE/SCA is that you can get it basically for free if you've got one the blanket educational software license. (Don't ask me about this; I'm not an expert.) But I doubt this is helpful to anyone whose address is ".COM." I've been trying to get it to work with C, though, and I've been having some problems (I think) using CHECK CALLS with old-style declarations. Has anyone out there had substantial experience using SCA with old-style C? I'd appreciate very much having a brief consult w/ one or more of you via email. -- v v sssss|| joseph hall || 201-1D Hampton Lee Court v v s s || jnh@ece-csc.ncsu.edu (Internet) || Cary, NC 27511 v sss || the opinions expressed herein are not necessarily those of my -----------|| employer, north carolina state university . . . . . . . . . . .
