What do you think? > > Thanx, Benzi I think that the users you mentioned are suffering from an incredibly stingy value for BYTLM. We routinely give out 20-25k (I don't remember the exact figure). The 4096 figure is the one that VMS installation builds into the DEFAULT account, and is much smaller than the minimum recommended in the system management guide :-O ! The problem is probably that LIB$SPAWN wants to jam a lot of DCL context through a mailbox to the new process, and it exceeds the tiny BYTLM value.
