Is there or will there be available any time REAL SOON NOW, a version of the CMU TCP-IP package for VMS which will be compatible with VMS 5.0? We're getting ready to install and make available the CMU TCP-IP 6.0/6.2 release on our VAXcluster. We're not particularly thrilled at the prospect of having our user population become dependent upon this package for TELNET and FTP, if the ACP and IPDRIVER code "breaks" under VMS 5.0, which we expect to have in hand and install in the next month and a half. VMS 5.0 changes some of the device driver and system data structure synchronization techniques, so I know that changes will be required to the ACP and the IPDRIVER. We don't have all the tools necessary to rebuild these images on our local systems. So, has anyone tackled this problem yet? Will there be a new release from CMU? Thanx in advance. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Morris BITNET: TOM@UNCSPHVX UNC School of Public Health UUCP : ...!mcnc!ecsvax!tpmsph ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Morris BITNET: TOM@UNCSPHVX UNC School of Public Health UUCP : ...!mcnc!ecsvax!tpmsph -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
