Hi VMS Gurus: I have some questions regarding the performance of inter-process communications under VMS: 1. Does anyone have any numbers as to the cost (CPUtime and elapsed time) of sending a message from one process to another on the SAME machine? 2. Does anyone have a set of numbers for different size messages? 32bytes, 64bytes, 128bytes, 256bytes, 512bytes, 1K, 2K, ... 32K? 3. Does anyone have a similar set of numbers for communications over DECnet on a local-area-net (10Mbit/sec)? 4. Does anyone have a similar set of numbers for communications over DECnet on a wide-area-net (9600 baud...)? Any and all replies will be appreciated. Thanks. -- Yogesh Gupta | If you think my company will let me Cullinet Software, Inc. | speak for them, you must be joking.
