We have problems with a RA81 disk. This disk usually has 100000 to 200000
free blocks, but once in a while someone creates a very big temporary file.
When the SHOW DEVICE command tells us that there are still about 60000
blocks free, users start to complain that programs, like the editor,
produce error messages stating that there is insufficient room for
allocation of new files. These new files often are no more than 1 block in
length. An ANALYZE/DISK does not detect any error on the disk. Could it be
that the problem has something to do with preallocation of free space by
other nodes in the cluster? If so, how can we prevent it?
