Recently DATABILITY Inc of NewYork announced a product called PRINTSERVE R which claims to allow users access printers hooked off a PC. We have a product from them here called RAF which is used primarily to connect some 20 of our PC's to hook up to the VAX via thin wire ethernet. Since many users here would like to have Laser printers on their floor hooked to a PC and allow their group people to use it rather than come to the Computer Center, we want to seriously consider the claims for this product. PRINT SERVER claims to allow all VAX users access printers hooked to PC's as easily as hooked to any regular LAT or Terminal printers. I would like to get input from users on the net about the pro's and con's. Easy of installation, maintenance, cost effectiveness etc. Thanks in advance anil Anil Khullar {Ph.D. Prog in Psychology C.U.N.Y. Grad.
