Background: In VMS V5.0, the name of SYS$SYSTEM:VMSMAIL.DAT is supposed to change to SYS$SYSTEM:VMSMAIL_PROFILE.DATA. This site is currently running VMS V4.6. Just for kicks, I "SET WATCH FILE/CLASS=ALL" and then ran MAIL, to see what files it looks for (other than the known ones). Lo and behold, the first file that MAIL wants is VMSMAIL_PROFILE.DATA! I suppose this would be handy on a system that might boot either 4.7 or 5.0, depending on the users' needs.
