I just got the PAK for DECNET for VMS V5.0, and in the cover letter it says that: "VMS will be withdrawing support for the DEQNA adapter in the future. Support will be continued for at least one year. The DELQA adapter is the recommended replacement for the DEQNA" Can they get away with this? (That was a rhetorical question). What is the point of this change? Am I really going to be forced to go out and buy a DELQA adapter? Does anyone know _really_ how long DEC will support the DEQNA? What additional features do we get by using the DELQA instead of a DEQNA? ------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric Youngdale YOUNGDALE%V6550C.DECNET@NRL.ARPA Code 6551 Naval Research Lab "Some user assembly required" Washington, DC 20375 (202) 767-3276 ------------------------------------------------------------------
