Not to sound stupid (but for fun I'll try anyway), have you tried NAG? Just like IMSL, NAG is a commercial package. I don't have their name and address handy, but, in the trade papers they have features on mathmatical software which does. Hope this helps... bruce

NAG is a very reliable, fairly comprehensive library of numerical analysis routines. We've been using it here for years. As well as VAXes, they have versions for Suns, and other systems. There is a workstation version (a subset of the full library) for considerably less cost. Usually it is arranged as an annual contract which covers updates.
