My lab at SRI will need to purchase some rack-mountable 9-track tape drives in the next few months. We now own Kennedy 9610s and are not overly happy with these as they often have trouble loading tapes. I would appreciate hearing recommendations from people for tape drives (and controllers) whose combined price is say 10 - 12 K or less.
