We have just found out that Wollongong's WIN/TCP Version 3.2 will not run under VMS 5.0. Can anyone verify this? Does anyone know if CMU TCP/IP Version 6.3 will run under VMS 5.0? Can anyone comment on the differences between CMU and WIN TCP/IP as far as transfer speed etc.? Please reply to me and I will summarize to the net. That is true. >> Does anyone know if CMU TCP/IP Version 6.3 will run under VMS 5.0? No, although some people seem to be working on it. Some preliminary patches have been posted to the cmu tcp/ip bboard. It's cmu-tek-tcp@cs.cmu.edu. CMU is ok for small systems (microvaxen), but if you're going to be doing a lot of TCP/IP, it's worth the money to get WIN/TCP or SRI's Multinet product. Mike Iglesias University of California, Irvine
