This is strange, perhaps sombody wiser than I can explain it. As part of my login, I define a key as "C"/TERMINATE/NOLOG now, "C" is a symbol that runs a little program that clears my screen and resets the cursor to 1;1. If I type C at the DCL prompt, the screen is cleared and the prompt is left at line one, as I have directed. If, however, I press the key defined, the screen clears, the cursor jumps to line one, then immediately moves down a line and the pormpt is printed at lien two. I don't see why the difference between my typing a C and pressing a return and the key typing a c and terminating it with a return as the definition specifies, but that extra line feed has me bewildered. Any thoughts? Dan Graham graham@drcvax.arpa ------
