I'm still looking for some educational use (ie, cheap or free)
cross assemblers for the 68,000 and for the 8085. We have
classes running on both the SDK-85 boards from Intel and
the MEX boards from Motorola. However, my students would be
eternally grateful if they didn't have to hand-assemble multi-K
machine language programs. PLEASE HELP THESE GUYS OUT!
(maybe a company you work for could make a software donation for
   tax purposes?)
I can use anything written in Vax assembly, C, or any of the
higher level languages ( Fortran, Pascal, etc), to run under
Unix or VMS. In a pinch, I'd also be
interested perhaps other assemblers that might be modifed to
work with the 68K or 8085. Please respond to me through E-Mail
if you don't wish to post here.
  Thanks - Bob Wier

The motorola freeware bulletin board has a 68000 assembler on it, with C source code. The phone number is 1-512-440-3733. They also have a bunch of neat stuff for their 68xx series chips. They may even have a C compiler that generates 68000 code, but I have never tried it out. Hope this helps! Greg Garner gmg@hcx.uucp 501-442-4847

Programming support for most Motorola chips can be found on the Motorola BBS at 512-440-3733. No charge (other than the long distance call) and there are all types of programs and information available. -- USnail: John Carter, AT&T, Atlanta RWC, 3001 Cobb Parkway, Atlanta GA 30339 Video: ...att!nesac2!jec Voice: 404+951-4642 The machine belongs to the company.
