We are having problems with data corruption and data loss using SCITEC (Australia) MDX-150 and MDX-5000 (also known as VCX by Penril,USA) in conjunction with Decserver 100 and 200's. They have told us of many people who use these boxes but mainly with Decserver 500's with no problems. The corruption seems to be between the Decserver and MDX but when a line analyser is put between there is no corruption on the analyser but the errors continue. The errors are logged on the answer port of the MDX. All ports are being run at 4800 and a trunk speed of 19.2K. (we have replaced everything MDX at both ends, Decservers 100 & 200's and all cabling) Symptoms are as follows: one character is being substituted to a "?" the next two chars are OK then 1-6 chars are lost. eg 123456789 would be 1?34789 Can anyone who uses this equipment and knows of a fix please e-mail me now!! -- Robert Lancaster Management Information Systems 125 Dew Street Thebarton, South Australia, 5038.
