We are trying to install VMS Services for MSDOS which is a DEC product that makes use of VMS for things like file serving for MSDOS machines. Our problem is that we have some PCs that have external 3.5" disk drives and the driver we are using for them DRIVER.SYS does not work with VMS Services. What happens is the 3.5" inch drive is assigned drive D: and then the VMS Services drivers install, but they don't see the 3.5" drive and a VMS Services drive is assigned D: also. This arrangement doesn't work. Our support at DEC is looking into the problem and they have said there is a driver called EXDSKBIO.DRV that will replace the DRIVER.SYS driver and that that will fix our problem. They think that it is an IBM driver that comes with the 3.5" drive, but we didn't get it. We have a call in to IBM, but... Is anyone familiar with this problem? Does anyone know of a solution.
