We've got a faculty member with a TRS-100 that he uses for word processing, email, and uploading files to a campus VMS/Vax. Everything works fine without his printer running, but somehow when he logs his VMS email to the printer he gets garblage on his screen and print. Apparently logging to the printer requires pauses or handshaking but so far we haven't been able to get it working. VMS listens to XON/XOFF just fine, and we've tried setting both CRFILL and LFFILL to their max (9 nulls), but so far no luck. The software in use is MM/32 on VMS (just to list out the mail) and the built-in telecom program on the TRS-100. Any advice from VMS or TRS-100 experts on this? -- David Lassner, University of Hawaii Computing Center, 808/948-7351 INTERNET: david@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu BITNET: david@uhccux UUCP: ...!ucsd!nosc!uhccux!david PLATO: david/p/hawaii
