A contract where we had a client's system has come to an end. We gave their LAVC's node names SEUSS, GRINCH, and LORAX. They want them now to be something else (a name in accordance with their corporate naming convention). Currently, the boot node is SEUSS and satellites are GRINCH and LORAX. In addition to the name changes, the DECnet node number ALSO has to be changed. Has anyone been through this before who can offer (quickly!) some assistance and pointers to a swift and simple solution. Of course, the quick and dirty solution is to backup the boot node and reload the OS and reconfigure the whole mess. I would like to avoid this not-so-quick and more-than-dirty solution. Thanks in advance for any help! -------- Gil Kloepfer, Jr. U-Net: {decuac, boulder, talcott, sbcs}!icus!limbic!gil ICUS Software Systems Voice: (516) 968-6860 [H] (516) 746-2350 x219 [W] P.O.
