Just so there's no misunderstandings, my comments/criticisms of
creating a new hierarchy were only made because I thought what was
being done would not work very well (for anyone.) I still think that,
and would rather see the groups merged into the main hierarchies, why
I and others think that has been beat to death already.
Further, I have no intention *not* to carry VMSNET and probably will
start it shortly on world.std.com feeding from uunet. World is a
public access Unix site, I'll try carrying VMSNET and continue
carrying it as long as there seems to be any interest.
So, there were no threats/flames/etc, just discussion and varied
opinions. Things always seem to get heated as people try to snoop out
each others' the real motivations, no big deal.
Let's leave it at that. Good luck, it takes all kinds to make the
world.
