Hi Netlanders, I wonder if you can shed some light on the following problem. We're re-working an application, which is currently available on VAX/VMS and Unix, to work in multiplatform fashion, i.e. we have a bunch of machines , some running Unix, others VAX/VMS and maybe a number of PC's running MS-DOS or OS/2 and PCSA or PC-NFS, and we want our application to run on all these platforms. For it be able to run properly, we must be able to start applications across platform boundaries. Now, for Unix, we do this with rsh. However, we have not yet found a way to do this on VAX/VMS, on which we have TCP/IP running. Do you have a solution ? We're looking for suggestions that do not require us to program on the socket or connection level. Rather, we're looking for a VAX/VMS- implementation of rsh. But, then again, all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance. I'll post a sumary in four weeks from today (March 15, 1990) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harm Munk. |Standard Disclaimer: Centre for Software Technology, Philips Eindhoven| file not found.
