[comp.os.vms] Acessing VMS from an HP terminal

mab@ulysses.att.com (Muhammad Basit[rs]) (08/14/90)

I have an HP terminal that I use to connect to Ultrix and VMS
systems (thru modem). On Ultrix i have no problem but on VMS
I can not use the screen editor EDT probably because VMS does not
support an HP terminal. I tried many options in 'SET TERM' command,
but found no clue. Is there a terminfo equivalent on VMS, or
is there some vt100 (or other dec) emulator programs for ultrix
easily available? that I can run before logging into VMS.

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Muhammad Basit

you need to define one of the terminal types FT1 through FT8 to be
a HP terminal.
