[comp.os.vms] Is lpd available on VMS?

ddk@lanl.gov (David D Kaas) (08/22/90)

We have serveral UNIX based workstations that are connected
by ethernet to a DEC 785 running VMS. The only common protocols we
currently support are TCP/IP. We would like to transfer print
and plot files from the UNIX machines to the VMS machine. Has anybody
ported lpd to VMS? If not, is there any other program available to do
this? Thanks in advance.

Thank You
Dave Kaas

The MultiNet product, produced by TGV Incorporated (1-800-TGV-3440)
offers what you're looking for, and much much more.

Contact me offline for more details.

Wollongong's TCP/IP package also has an lpd implementation.
