We have just installed the release version of LANworks for the Macintosh (v1.0)
and are having a problem seeing the VAXshare server from a Mac SE connected
to a Kinetics Fastpath 4.
Symptoms:
Kbox is running Kstar 8.0 and has Phase 2 and DECnet support turned on.
Mac is an SE running system 6.0.4.
DECnet services from our VAX 6420 running LANworks are visible. ie netcopy
works as does our field test version of the All-in-1 Mail software.
but .... I *can't* see the VAXshare server. I can see all the zones, (We have
one other Fastpath running Kstar 8.0 with Ethertalk 1 <-> 2 routing turned on)
including all of the Ethertalk phase 1 zones.
What is stranger is that a Mac IIx directly connected to our ethernet and
running Phase 2 *can* see the server.
Has anyone out there using LANworks seen this behaviour ???
