Hello everyone: I use C-kermit 4E(072) on my 386 box running SCO Xenix 2.3.2 to communicate with a VAX running VMS. The question I have concerns terminal emulation. When calling from the VAX, Xenix prompts for a terminal type, and I have no problem communicating from my VT220 terminal. However, when calling from the Xenix system, I do not seem to be able to set a terminal type (on the VAX) which properly understands the keystrokes I'm sending. The default terminal type from the Xenix console is ansi. What I appear to need, is either an appropriate device under VMS (as in set term/device=*****) or a way to have my Xenix console send characters that <can> be understood; particularly by the editor, EVE. Any help will be greatly appreciated. -- Bob Celmer UUCP: {fedeva, chromc}!dynasys!rscsys!bob
