[comp.os.vms] Need help with STC tape configuration

I am trying to configure a Storage Technology 2925 tape drive with
a Emulex TC03 controller running under VMS 5.3-1 on a microVaxen.
The problem is that INITIALIZE does not write a valid ANSI label 
on the media.  So MOUNT complains about a error in tape label
processing.   If anybody has a configuration similar to the above
please send me mail directly.   Your time on this matter is
appreciated.
