I am having problems with an exabyte on a VaxStation 3100-38 with VMS 5.3-1 using BACKUP. I am trying to backup an RZ57 (1GB) but it keeps failing with the error FATAL CONTROLLER ERROR and TAPE POSITION LOST. Is there anyone out there who has had similar problems.
