Hi There, We are looking at a methodology for holding source code for a setup that will include VAX/VMS and DECStation 5000/200 machines. We would like for people to be able to work in whichever environment they prefer and be able to easily check code in and do all the other things that a good Code Control System can do. Current thoughts run to perhaps communications over an RPC mechanism to have things executed solely on 1 machine or another. This seems a tad kludgey. Anyone know if there is a version of RCS or anything for that matter which will run on VMS and on Ultrix. We have UCX for the VAX and our plan is to keep all data on the NFS-mountable partitions so that either side can access them. Yes I know all about stream_lf files and the like but I think we can make it work. Any thoughts? Please send mail if you can. Posts are good if you think the rest of the Net may care. Unfortunately, I don't get to follow this forum as much as I'd like. -- | () () () | Frank P.
