NO!!

I agree with gary@ethos on this. The unix-pc groups are to important
to be swallowed up. If the main news sites want to start carrying our
private groups that is fine by me, but I DO NOT LIKE THE OPTION LISTED
ABOVE. My own system (gizzmo) has become a rather large node on the
private net (15 systems) and I plan on keeping it that way. I am
ALWAYS glad to feed new sites the private groups as most of the other
unix-pc sites are.

NO!!!!

Why "fix" something that isn't broken. The disadvantages greatly
outnumber the advantages. Remember that there are people in the unix-pc
network with 20MB disks ...TOTAL...

Since other good points have been made, I would like to mention only one
other. In the year that we have been connected to unix-pc, I have NEVER
seen a discussion in the newsgroups about inappropriate postings (except
for a discussion about security), or long messages complaining about
how much traffic there is, or any of the garbage that goes as standard
fare on usenet.

I'll add ncsugn as a site that is willing to have unix-pc connections if
someone can't get one.
