Does anyone have a good set of S register options for a trailblazer + modem on a unix=pc. I have tried to use the one provided by telebit, but have problems with it locking up the PC. I want the serial line locked at 9600, let the modem figure out how fast/slow a calling or called modem is.. Any help??? -- Gary W. You can run it at 19200 by setting it to 254. Somebody on the net discovered this undocumented feature a while back, gawd, I'm glad he did! I heard a lot of noise about how the 3b1's tty ports couldnt do 19.2K, they were wrong... My news feeds usually run between 1000-1300 chars/sec now but it did go over 1500 once. -- John "C". Now, how do you make calls out at the various speeds. I need 1200 baud on some outgoing calls, the rest are 'blazers. My under- standing is that you are constrained by HDB and vanilla uucp to talk to the modem at the same baud rate you will talk to the system. Or did I miss something?
