Answering John Wilke's question re: 2400 baud communication with THE STORE, following is my (updated) /usr/lib/uucp/L.sys entry. This entry shows an empirically-determined number of ``BREAK''. The "\" after the 4th BREAK is for clarity only ... the entry is really only ONE line and the "\" is NOT part of the actual entry. Don't ask me how to enter such a long line using vi or ed; I use GNU Emacs (which is up to version 18.53 now). Note this entry is for the (standard) Version 2 UUCP; haven't verified HDB (aka BNU) to the STORE (yet). Note also my modem's serial rate is hard-set at 9600 baud irrespective of the modem rate; this is an ARK 24K modem.
