For those of you concerned with the reliability or cooling capacity of the 3 inch 12V DC cooling fans whirring away in the back of your 3b1, I have available some 3 inch AC (115V) fans. The AC fans, which push a fair amount of air, seem to keep my 3b1 a tad cooler - now wasn't that precise and scientific. They are also considered by some to be more reliable than the DC fan supplied with the unit. They can be installed with no soldering, hacking, cutting or messing. An AC fan will also relieve some of the 12V DC current draw from the power supply. So if you would like an AC fan for your 3b1, I can supply you with 1 for only $10.00 (Rat Shack wants $15.95 + local tax). Included in the deal is full instructions on how to do it. So if this is a deal you can't refuse, send your address and $10.00 - cash, cheques, stamps, MacDonald's gift certificates, all OK - to: FANS 742 1/2 North Hayworth Avenue Hollywood California 90046-7142 Make Cheques etc out to Julian Macassey Yours -- Julian Macassey, n6are julian@bongo ucla-an!denwa!bongo!julian n6are@wb6ymh (Packet Radio) n6are.ampr.org [44.16.0.81] voice (213) 653-4495
