Hello Unix-PC Wizards,
Question:Problem
I have just been given an account on a 386 box running
ESIX. The shell of choice seems to be Korn, so I would naturally
like to use it. I am used to Pyramids flavor of BSD and CSH, so I
am rather inexperienced at Korn.
Simply put, I am trying to set up my environment, so that
I can make use of the history in EMACS mode. I have set the emacs
flag on { set -o emacs } and set vi off {set +o vi} yet I still can't
make use of the familiar ^P or any of the other emacs commands.
What gives?
I have read the "man" pages o KSH, and have followed what seems
like a logical course of expirmentation to try and solve this problem.
Can anyone shed any light on this area for me?
I am really stumped. ;=(
Tanx,
Z-Raisin

I have been trying to make the ``best man'' for the 3b1... unfortunately, it craps out during the first compilation... The command ``cc -s -O man.o -o man -lc_s'' from the make file causes... ld *command line: -l Can't find /libc_s.a ld *command line: -l Can't find /libc.a *** Error code 1 Stop. I can't seem to fix this problem or locate the proper libraries... Does anyone recognize a solution to this problem? -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott D.
