I am running X V10R3 on a Vaxstation II. I noticed that there is DecNet support in X and should like to know whether somebody has succeeded in porting enough of Xlib to VMS to be able to build clients on VMS hosts. There are sites with more powerful VMS systems than Unix systems... :-) ------------------------------------------------------------- Leo C. A month or so ago, we (the OSU Engineering College) were treated to a talk from a seemingly-knowledgeable DEC workstations person, who said that part of DEC's committment to X was that they were already working on VMS implementations of `all the important parts', including servers for VAXstations under VMS and clients for generic VMS machines. Some of the audience were *very* interested, since there are a lot of VAXen around here that are still running VMS. ------ Bob Sutterfield, Department of Computer and Information Science The Ohio State University; 2036 Neil Ave. Columbus OH USA 43210-1277 bob@ohio-state.{arpa,csnet} or ...!cb{osgd,att}!osu-eddie!bob (614) 292 - 0915 or (614) 292 - 5813
