[comp.windows.x] Cursor behavior on color Sun 3/160

mason@anubis.uchicago.CSNET.UUCP (03/12/87)

On our color sun, a 3/160, the cursor is not correctly unmapped during motion
on the left hand border of the screen (no other border is so affected). What
this means is that, after bouncing the cursor off of the left hand side,
there are 'X' marks showing where the cursor has been. It does not do this
on our monochrome suns (3/50's). Has anyone else run into this problem?

Also, we just received a 3/110, and X doesn't recognize that it is a color
screen. I have heard that this problem is in the sun libraries (suntools
doesn't run in color on it either). Maybe Sun will have a fix in 3.4 (we
have 3.3 right now...) Wonderful to pay for a color workstation so you can
use it as a monochrome monitor.

If there are useful responses, I will summarize and post here and on the
net.
