We are considering converting all our Sun 3 sunview code
over to X.11. This will hopefully allow better conversion
to future systems including masscomp and microvax. Our question
is
(1) has anyone converted sunview code over and if so, how
long does that sort of conversion take?
(2) How high a level does X windows program in. Specifically
how would panels with TEXT, BUTTON, SLIDER, CHOICE ...
convert over. Or Windows with SCROLL BARS.
(3) Does anyone have samples of converted code?
(4) Is there a way of getting a copy of the X.11 manual? We realize
that it isn't totally available yet, but we need advanced
information for some of our future system choices.
We would appreciate any help we can get.
