I believe there is a bootstrap server by some DECWRL people that is supposed to be easy to bring up. Ken Ok I would like to become a V.11 implementor. I am currently working on two ports of X.V10R4. The first is relatively simple port I've been running for some time on a 32016 based Mono workstation (no rasterop in is libraries!). The other is to a fast (specialised bitslice engine) with a 40Mega Pixels/sec rasterop in hardware and colour. The former I coded myself from scratch the later I'm drawing heavily on libibm from X.V10R4. So I have access to specialised and quite different hardware (the bitslice engine is a great machine to get any code on since it has a rather unique architecture which quickly shows any machine dependancies in programs!). I've had experience working on getting early releases of software working (I was the nut who got GNU Emacs to work under 4.1 BSD). I've access to ARPAnet (I nag a friend). I would like to make the ports V.11. Since I will have to put up V.11 sooner or later on both these I guess it may as well be sooner and allow everyone who follows to profit from what I find.
