I am having a problem with colors on a Sun 3/160 and X version 10 release 4 and would like to know if anyone has a fix for it. The problem is that under some conditions both foreground and background portions of text are plotted incorrectly. Sometimes they are reversed and sometimes they are both plotted in the same color, rendering the text invisible. There is some dependence on the colors set up in my .Xdefaults, and on how many xterms I have running. One place the problem shows up consistently is xtrek. If I have only one xterm window and I start xtrek, text in the "federation" window will be drawn with both foreground and background in yellow. Likewise text for text for the "klingon" window will be drawn in all green. Text in the other windows will be okay. If I have two xterms running and I start xtrek, the background and foreground colors are reversed and the autologout clock is plotted in all background (dark blue). To complicate matters if I change the colors of xterm or xtrek in .Xdefaults I get a whole new combination of which areas of text show the problem. Our system: Sun 3/160c with cgtwo0 color display, graphics processor and buffer, FPA, 4M RAM, SunOS 3.2, XV10R4 Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
