Several people have been requesting font editors for X.V10. By the end of this week I will distribute sources for "fed", a font editor that we have used to design over two dozen different fonts. It is not a Mac-style application, rather it splits .onx files into a separate bitmap-format files and then rejoins them form a new .onx file. It may not be very pretty but I've used it to create fonts with characters as large as 912x164 pixels (our company logo) and routinely use it on fonts that contain 100x100 pixel characters. Although I haven't yet decided on the distribution format it will probably be sent to net.sources as well as being put somewhere on the ARPAnet (any sites want to volunteer a dumping place?). Comments or suggestions are welcome by email or phone.
