Is there a bug in news out there someplace, or what? We have been receiving duplicates of several messages from news. When I bother to check, I find that they have different postmarks (usually different by 1), but usually identical contents. Are people sending these duplicates (in the cases that the message is not exactly identical, probably so) or is there a site out there with a virus in its news?

I have noticed some interesting patterns in the repeated messages. Most of
them seem to come either from ARPANET or from fortune. Th{_e repeated
messages from fortune tend to differ in their article number by 13!!
Do these observations indicate anything significant?
