David, In response to your article which starts: [We are working on porting xterm to run under Bell System V.3 Unix. ...] Have you overcome other System V/X windows hurdles such as: o UCB socket support for IPC o Implementation of select(2) - Did you utilize V.3 streams and poll? o Lack of symbolic links (a minor pain) o Non-support of filenames > 14 chars (another pain) I'd be interested in hearing from you and anyone else who has, or is in the process of, a port to V.2 or V.3. We intend to port X applications to our 68020 based machine (running V.2). Our initial server will be our IBM-AT compatible (running MS-DOS or Xenix). Current plans are to use TCP/IP via Interlan as our protocol. I am willing to summarize and post responses if there is interest.
