Does anyone know how fast X can communicate with client processes? We are investigating using X for some direct manipulation interfaces or computer aided design. We are pretty certain we will be using Sun workstations, but everything else is up for grabs. We would want to do animation and cursor tracking. Please cc any information or pointers directly to me since I don't read this bboard frequently. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
