Using X v10r4 on a Sun 3/260 with a hi-resolution monitor, the characters are far too small for comfort, even using the 9x15 font, because everything is twice as small as on a normal monitor. 1. Are there any other, bigger, fixed-width fonts, or is there any other way out of this problem? 2. Additionally, where can I find a brief description of each of the fonts in X/font? (I'm new to X so don't laugh at me. Answers of the form RTFM gratefully received, as long as you say where to R in TFM). Thanks, Niall

I use gallant.r.19, which is very pleasing to the eye on a SUN3/260.

I'm happy with rogue-n, and of course you can use the Sun fonts
(/usr/lib/fonts/fixedfonts/gallant.r.19 is fairly large.)
I'm still looking for something that will let me have two adjacent 80col wide
windows, but 9 pixels wide is about as large as you get since
1600 pixels/160 cols=10.
A font that presents a realistic illusion of being easy to read would
probably be OK.
