I have been having some problems with Suns and am in the process of seeing if this is a local problem or not. I believe that our Sun X source is up to date, but perhaps I am missing a bug fix. The problem is a follows: When I start up X on the color sun (either under suntools with a overview, or directly) the xterm window appears in reverse video. I have changed my .Xdefaults and this problem goes away. It appears to be associated with the color options in my .Xdefaults. When I bring up a menu that is in color (e.g. The menu selection highlighted in color, and the text in the menu some color) the text in the menu is hidden with a block of reverse video text. When i move the mouse to select a item on the menu, the text that is selected then appears. Also I just install xfish and xbob on the Suns (color and black and white) and it also behaves strangly. the fish and bob are not cleared as they move. We are running Sun's 160 and 50's. OS is Sun 3.3. Color sun has a GP and GB on it. Any ideas or help would greatly be appreicated. -Eric
