I've had a chance to compare both new and old netnews; there are pros and cons both ways (aren't there always - maybe I should be a politician!). Anyway - as "system administrator" I decided not to install netnews.b because of the initial bugs. Then lethargy/apathy set in and I never got around to remembering where to send for the current source. So it goes. Well, now my system has a dialer and can call up anybody I want (at least anybody with a Ven-Tel 212+ compatible dialup). What's the best way to get the "latest and greatest" version of the source? A system I talk to regularly has netnews.b source. Shall I get it from them? or go directly to the, um, source (Mark, are you there?)? - Ralph Droms Penn State Univ. [allegra,burdvax]!psuvax!sysred

Current issues of B news source may be uucp'ed from harpo!~uucp/news.tar , ucbvax!~uucp/news.tar , and decvax!~uucp/news.tar . There may be others that I don't know about. If you can't get to these, you can probably find someone who can or can get them for you.
